Where can I find it? Quittapahilla, an Algonquin Indian word for
the creek meaning "a stream that flows from the ground among the pines", begins
just southeast of the city of Lebanon at the intersection of the Birch and Shorts
roads flowing west to Annville. A small branch, beginning at the intersection of
South Lincoln and East Elm street, flows into the "Quittie" just south of Rt. 422
east of 16th street.
Heading due west, the "Quittie" creek flows mainly south of Rt. 422 until it turns
north at the west side of Annville. At this point, the "Quitte" wanders around and
heads north west to flow into the Swatara Creek.
